Arnold G. Danielson is chairman and founder of Danielson Capital. He established the firm in 1978 and, over the next 28 years, built it into one of the leading bank consulting firms in the area. Today, he remains a leading industry figure and an authority in the community banking industry. His most recent work includes the authoring and publishing of a book that chronicles the banking industry from the 1970’s to current day, “Consolidation of Banking; Or How Five Banks Bought 50% of American Business.” Since its formation as Danielson Associates in 1978, Danielson Capital has served as a key advisor to numerous community banks. Arnold Danielson’s in-depth knowledge of the community banking, coupled with his vast experience in consulting and strategic planning, has proven valuable to banks at all stages of the business cycle. During Arnold Danielson’s tenure as president and most recently as chairman, the firm has grown to become one of the premier merger advisory firms in the country. Danielson Capital has served as a financial advisor in over 89 deals with a total deal value of more than $4.6 billion. Over his three decades in banking, Arnold has spoken to hundreds of bank boards as well as many state associations and various regulatory agencies. He provided strategic guidance to banks during the S&L crisis of the late 80s and early 90’s and has authored numerous articles and white papers on banking nationally and regionally. A native of Massachusetts, Mr. Danielson is a graduate of American University. Danielson continues to serve as a key advisor to the firm and writes extensively on banking topics. His articles have appeared in nearly every major industry trade periodical.
